Fairfield, Solano County
The Jelly Belly Candy Company has made its jelly beans in Fairfield since 1986. Visitors can follow an elevated walkway above the factory floor, watch the beans being cooked, coated and polished, and see portraits assembled from thousands of them. Fairfield, the seat of Solano County, lies about halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento on Interstate 80.
